Vanessa Mateus, founder & director of Synchrony NZ, always dreamed about having a meaningful project. A personal project that helps her and her family to pour good things into the world, into the people. Because people deserve better and more. More recognition, more appreciation, more sharing, and more celebrations. Because we all have, just there in the tiny piece of our own world, the opportunity of leaving the world a little bit better place than we found it.
After graduating from University almost 20 years ago, Vanessa started her career in the construction industry as an accountant executive. Then she quickly moved up the corporate ladder and became a successful KAM at one of the world’s leading players in the concrete and cement industry. She worked for multinational companies, global enterprises, and local corporates. Diverse people, places, and cultures. And she realised her “best good fit” was always working in communities with similar values and beliefs. Cultures where the team members matter! Where was important to say, thank you! For your efforts and contributions! Cultures in which you feel you belong. Vanessa experienced in her career the undeniable link between highly engaged teams and optimal business performance. Because she felt appreciated and when we are in that type of cultures, we’re just happier.
Synchrony NZ was born out of the burning desire to replicate her own pleasant experience as a happy and appreciated member of a team, of a family.
